European History
European history goes back thousands of years. The first known settlers were the Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon stone age people who dominated the region for thousands of years. Greece developed into the first most advanced civilization followed by Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Reformation and Enlightenment. Revolutions swept the continent in the 19th century and eventually led to our modern world.
