In
our world wide society, corruption
has taken many forms and is
influencing the way we are governed,
treated, informed, sold products,
goods and services. Wars are started
and nations are corrupted and
influenced politicians. Politicians,
policies, laws and elections are
being bought by the highest bidder.
It has become a race to who can get
the most for the bang, whether it be
for an ally, billionaire, political
cronie, corporation, organization or
family member. Government should and
by all rights be by the people and
for the people, not by the rich, or
for the rich, influencers,
organizations and corporations. This
includes journalism and Social Media
which should be fair, balanced and
non judgmental.
Our founding fathers realized this
enlightenment principles and
established our
Constitution as a barrier to
protect and defend this basic
governing principle. They saw what
was happening in
Europe and other parts of the world
and thus enshrined these principles.
We must be diligent in what we read,
hear and see in social media and
journalism and make decisions when
we speak and vote to protect our
democracy and economic system.
