Unions are a vital part
of our economic, educational,
recreational and governmental
systems. They provide their members
with contracts, protections,
insurance and methods of bringing to
light mismanagement by students,
parents, administrators and
fellow workers. They came into being
during the industrial revolution as
a result mistreatment by political
and corporate leaders as well as the
the corporations themselves. Today
the need for Unions has not
diminished with the growth of
antilabor pro-business organizations
and influencers, that want to limit
pay raises, increase hours and
reduce the medical and retirement
guarantees.
