What is a blog? A simple explanation (for beginners)
What is a Blog?

 Blog Blogging
"A blog (a truncation of "weblog") is an informational website consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries also known as posts. Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page. In the 2000s, blogs were often the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often covered a single subject or topic. In the 2010s, multi-author blogs (MABs) emerged, featuring the writing of multiple authors, sometimes professionally edited. MABs from newspapers, other media outlets, universities, think tanks, advocacy groups, and similar institutions account for an increasing quantity of blog traffic. The rise of Twitter and other "microblogging" systems helps integrate MABs and single-author blogs into the news media. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog" Source Wikipedia

Misinformation and Disinformation
Misinformation
A new way of communication has now becoming a fact in the Internet world. People are now trying to influence you by expressing their opinions, and facts in a blog. It is a inexpensive and far reaching form of communication. Creators can work from home and not have to deal with ways of restricting their imputes. The topics and opinions have a wide range on information from ultraconservative moderate to ultraliberal. If you want to blog try being honest and appeal to the better side of life. Unfortunately it has become a great source of misinformation, disinformation and outright lies. One must take into account, the source of the blog ( is it an individual, corporate governmental or organizational), the background of the individual creating the blog and finally the objective of the blog! Trust but verify, must always be a guiding light. Blogs by their very nature are designed to influence your opinion and actions both positive and negative. The Classroom's blog is designed to enlighten you and give you information you might not get from many blogs.
