The instrument used during this investigation will be a
depression inventory based around the COVID-19 quarantine isolation.
The inventory that will be used as the questionnaire will be the
Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) and it
will be adjusted to fit the nature of the study. The CES-D was
designed for use in the general population and is now used as a
screener for depression in primary care settings. It includes 25
self-report items, scored on a 4-point scale, which measure major
dimensions of depression experienced during the pandemic. The
questionnaire will be distributed using Google Forms and all data
will be recorded and sorted through using Microsoft Excel. Examples
of the questions that will be used include:
1. I communicated with
my loved ones less during quarantine: Never, Sometimes,
Occasionally, Every day
2. I felt like I was alone when I was
isolated: Never, Sometimes, Occasionally, Every day
3. I felt the
need to always be doing something while I was isolated: Never,
Sometimes, Occasionally, Every day |
