Prehistoric
Early Human Species

The human species had its origins in the Rift Valley of Africa. Over millions of years they evolved and migrated to every continent of the Earth. Early human history is divided into three Stone Ages, Paleolithic (Old Stone Age), Mesolithic (Middle Stone Age)  and Neolithic (New Stone Age). Later human history is categorized by the use of metals such as Bronze and Iron. Humans learned to use these metals as tools of war, and farming. The major discoveries of the period were farming, herding, metal making, fire, metallurgy, writing and the wheel.
The prehistoric human species did not live at the time of the Dinosaurs! They are separated by about 150 million years. (the Flintstones is a cartoon not a documentary)
