United States (American) History: the study of the United States history from the advent of the Native Americans to the present. During the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment the Europeans rapidly sent explorers and colonizers to many parts of the world. The early explorers like the Vikings were seeking new homes during the Middle Ages while men like Columbus sought new trade routes across the Atlantic to the Far East. In their quest they discovered South America and North America, where rich and vast continents were already inhabited by Native Americans.
