Classroom Advice |
1. Talk to your students and build a
positive trusting relationship. |
2. Remind your students about
internet safety, bullying and school security. |
3.
Listen to your students when they talk about unusual events or
people. |
4.
Control what your student does on the internet. |
5.
Ask your Principal what they do to insure the security
of the school. |
6. Familiarize your self with emergency
procedures, emergency exits, location of fire
extinguishers, location of safe rooms, emergency numbers
and codes. |
7. Make your classroom and school a place
where your student feels, safe, secure and welcome! |
8. Never ignore any activity, discussions, or web
blousing that has the potential of causing disruptions. |
9.
Notify the SRO or any other responsible employee
if you see a stranger in and around the school. |
10. If teaching online respect and defend the
student's privacy at all times. |
11. Remain Calm DO NOT and secure your
students in any security situation. |
12. If your gut tells you something is
wrong don't hesitate to drill down and investigate
any incident or action that you feel threatens your
students. |
13. If you have an uneasy feeling about
any situation in a school, bring this concern to the
administration, even if that feeling involves the
administration. You can always take your concern to
the next level. |
