America
has, since her entrance into the "War to End all Wars" (World
War I) become involved in more and more wars, both declared and
undeclared. Each war has become more and more costly in lives,
stability and material. Many of the nations of the world now
have the capacity to disrupt civil discord, economies, food
supplies, biological systems, computers, political processes,
social cohesion, environments, water supplies, air quality,
communication, transportation, not in localized areas but on a
world wide scale. We have entered an era in which we can
literally end life on this planet as we know it. |
