 Soccer (Futball): a sport
played by two teams of eleven players, who vie to
put s specialized ball (without touching it with
their arms or hands, goalkeeper exempt), through the
opponents' goal. The team with the most points will
be declared the victor.
Soccer can be traced back to more than 2000 years ago in ancient China,
Greece, Rome and Central America. It took hold in England where
it has become a major sport. |
