The
Ottoman Empire controlled much of the Middle East, North
Africa Western Asia and South Eastern Europe from the
14th and early 20th Century. It was founded in Soqut by
Osman who was a member to the Turkoman Tribe. It
declined and fell when it sided with the Germans in
World War I which
resulted in its
partitioning and
a revolution in Turkey led by
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk against
Allies led to the establishment of the Republic
of Turkey.
