Blog Podcasting
"A podcast is a program episode made available in digital format for download over the Internet. Podcasts are primarily an audio medium, which is reflected in the term itself, a portmanteau of "iPod" and "broadcast" coined in 2004. The term used to refer to an episodic series of digital audio files that users can download to a personal device or stream to listen to at a time of their choosing. In the mid-2020s, however, video podcasts, either as primary content included in the feed, or as an external supplement to audio, have been popularized. In 2025, Bloomberg reported that a billion people are watching podcasts on video platform YouTube every month. This can cause issues where the audio-only experience suffers when something is shown to viewers in a manner which isn't apparent to audio listeners." Misinformation and Disinformation
Misinformation Disinformation
Recently podcasting has become a new source of education, information and news on Social Media. It provides people with a visual method  to engage a discussion on many topics including current events, politics, news, economics, military actions, and personal experiences. Unfortunately like a blog it sometimes the creators will improvise and present materials that  contain misinformation, disinformation and even out right lies. On the other hand it can be a great source for materials that will explain current events by providing educational materials and clarifying political, economic and military situations. People must always know who is the creator, who does he or she write for, when was it written, what is the purpose of the podcast and finally fact check and investigate what conclusions the podcaster makes. Never ever accept what you are being told blindly. The phrase trust but verify must apply to what you see and hear.
