Buddhism: the belief system that is based on the
teachings of Buddha. It originated in Ancient India between
the 6th and 4th century BCE and spread through out
Asia. There are two main denominations
Theravada(Pali:
"The School of the Elders") andMahayana(Sanskrit:
"The Great Vehicle"). It is the 4th largest religion with
about 500 million members.
