Conspiracy Theories
"Aconspiracy
theoryis
an explanation for an event or situation that asserts the existence
of aconspiracy(generally
by powerful sinister groups, often political in motivation),when
other explanations are more probable.The
term generally has a negativeconnotation,
implying that the appeal of a conspiracy theory is based in
prejudice, emotional conviction, or insufficient evidence.A
conspiracy theory is distinct from a conspiracy; it refers to a
hypothesized conspiracy with specific characteristics, including but
not limited to opposition to the mainstream consensus among those
who are qualified to evaluate its accuracy, such asscientistsorhistorians"

Today our
society is inundated with
individuals, government officials ,
religious leaders and individuals, corporate
officials, news agencies, bloggers,
podcasts and numerous other sources
bent on influencing, manipulating,
and even changing the way we think,
feel, pass laws, make policy, eat,
sleep and relate to one another!
Before the information age this was
done through rumors, that were
spread either by mouth or in writing. Today,
(without proof) conspiracy theories
are freely given and encouraged in
all areas of our society. Government
officials are creating policy and
laws,
businesses are altering products and
services, individuals are basing
their purchases, reporters are
including them in their stories and
our society as a whole is being
altered as a result. We as
individual must challenge them as
"theories and demand proof. Facts
should be demanded and evaluated.
never accept what is being presented
as absolute truth! Again Trust but
Verify!
