 Welcome
to our Blog! The opinion below are the result of
my professional experiences as a:
benefits administrator, historian, webmaster, master teacher,
teacher's union vice president and
president, parent and grandparent. |

Governments have always existed in human
history, be it the rule of the physically strong and
powerful, the dominance of the religions, the rich and
politically powerful or an election of the people. Today
the Earth has a mixture of different forms of government
and is changing daily. A
government is an institution established to secure
the comfort, security and safety of its citizens. It
does it through the military, police, laws, regulations,
policies and bureaucracy.
In essence a government provides what the individual
cannot provide for him or herself. Government must
always be a reflection of the will of the people and to
quote Lincoln in the Gettysburg Address "that
this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of
freedom – and that government of the people, by the
people, for the people, shall not perish from the
earth." It is vital that we live by this and encourage
this form of government not only here but to the rest of
the earth! |
